What would you guys say is the best set up for roll racing (tires/wheels/gear ratio)?? I currently have 600+rwhp with CS1 20' wheels and Nittos (315 NT05r on rear) with 3:31 gear. These tires/wheels seem heavy and cause me to lose gear. Should I use factory 18' wheels for roll racing and would I benefit from 3:73? Mainly will run from 30-35mph to 120-130mph.

4.10s and a 28" tall tire IMO

First of all thanks for the reply. I figured I might see some 3:55 or 3:73 but surprised to see 4:10 for rolling up to those speeds. I guess I underestimate the pull of these cars. I figured those gears would be a little more geared towards drag racing.

you're only going to 120-130 according to your post.

4.10s will keep you in the power band better than a taller gear. 4.10s + 28" = 130 mph in 4th @ 6400 rpm.

Starting in 2nd at ~ 3200 rpm

So stay in the peak part of the torque and hp range

I have 3.55s and run 18s with the 555r and it hooks good, I wouldn't change this part of my set up just need more power. I haven't seen a high hp car hook to good on 20s but if you can at 600 whp that's good. I like to run up to 130-140 so more gear wouldn't work for me. If I were you I would go 3.73s and leave a little headway up top, the bigger sidewall of an 18 will also hook better then a 20.

I don't have a problem hooking with my 20's but they are heavy and I lose gear. Big difference over my factory 18's but they are 18x9 and really need at least a 10' wide wheel. I am more comfortable with the 3:31 gears than the tire/wheel combo I'm running. Kinda regret buying them but they do look good. The last thing these led sleds need is more weight. LOL

Uh huh. At least I might can hang a little with different wheel set up. You will walk away with these CS1's. I'm telling you they are heavy. All show and no go. I am looking forward to it though bud. I talked to Monty I know what you got. :-D

If I had more competition I would get some 15s, I think somebody had a set of 15x10 welds in the market and you could run the stockers up front. That would be the ultimate street set up. I do have a 18x10 wheel out back on mine.
