I know... I know... you get what you pay for but just for the sake of argument, say someone who may need something quick and cheap, what, in your own opinions, are the best cleaning products that can be bought at your local auto parts store? List off everything needed for a standard wash and detail.

I would try to find Surf City products as they are reasonably priced and are OTC.

Meguiar's is not bad, but, it depends on what you're buying/using from them. Their polishes are great, but, some of their interior cleaners/sprays are very slick and leave a film, etc.

I'd avoid armorall at any cost as well.

A lot of Pepboys carry Surf City products and I've seen other small chains carry their products as well. Depends on what you have available in your area.

Meguiars, Griots. Can't go wrong with either line.

Shampoo, wash mitt, clay, wax/sealant, good micro fiber towels, glass cleaner. Basics for wash and wax.
