So my intercooler has a small leak in it (surprise surprise, 140,000 miles on the stock intercooler).
What's the best route for replacing the intercooler? Unfortunately my truck did not have the recall performed on it. From my POV, I'd either need an aftermarket replacement for the 2000 intake & supercharger, a whole new intake setup from a 01-04 lightning, or one of the recall adapter kits that allows the 99-00 to take 01-04 intercoolers (essentially just leaving me with the first 2 options).
Is there any other option here? I'd imagine the 99-00 aftermarket 9 row intercoolers would not be as effective as the 10 row intercoolers in the later years, but haven't seen any actual comparisons.
