I just recently found out what a Taurus SHO, SVT Contour and Thunderbird SC were. Yeah, yeah, yeah...Anyways...Based on what I could gather, I would definitely go with the 1995 Thunderbird SC.

Im scratching my head about a '95 S/C T-Bird nice car and all but the SHO and CSVT can out handle, seat 4 comfortably, and are quicker. Maybe you like the styling?

Wrong-O Zach!

They are all about the same speed in the 1320. Off the line the SC will KILL the SHO and CSVT. from a a roll the SHO will win. I think the SC would hang with the CSVT.

The SC Can also fit 4 comfortably.

And for a 4000lb pig the SC handles DAMN well too. Especially whem the firm ride kicks in.

Ok, I'm gonna shut up now........like Ox said the 300 (330 for 94/95) ftlbs of torque is starting to bring back memories!

My vote still stays with the Ford GT90.

Read about it, fear you never see it on the streets.

My stepmother had an '85 (white 5-spd) with the 175HP non-intercooled 2.3L. I thought they all had the same motor  The '84-5 SVO was the same. The last year of the SVO ('86) got an intercooler and another 25 ponies (200).

The '89-91 Probe GT had the Mazda 12V, 2.2L, intercooled turbo motor rated at 190.

real world engine would have to go with the SHO's V6 engine.. it was designed NOT for the Taurus but a mid engine 2 seat Corvette killer in the mid 80's.. Ford tried to get 300 hp from the Vulcan V6, and the engine couldn't handle it, so they had Yamaha (one of their partners at the time) build a 3 liter V6 with the 300 hp goal.. it was easily attained, but bean counters killed the car(called GN-34) but not before atleast 25000 of the engines had been ordered. Ford shoved the engines, detuned to 220 hp into the Taurus, coupled it with a 5 speed manual tranny sourced from Mazda and made one hell of a Sports Sedan(too bad it was FWD)
