best midrange radar detector

whats the best radar detector for the money around 100-200 dollars?

Don't bother with buying junk. Save up the another $200 and get the top of the line. I went with a $150 unit, 6 months later it failed.

just because its not the most expensive doesnt mean its junk. Whats the deal with that? My cobra works great and was under $200....

i got one off of ebay for like 125-140... i love that thing. has saved me a ton of money. i cant remember but i think its a beltronics....

Try and get a used one from Ebay for that price... either an Escort X50 or the Valentine V1 1.7 or 1.8. These are supposed to be the top RDs.

I have the Escort and it surely works well...

The Valentine One is the best but there are other cheaper alternatives but they don't detect from as far away which could result in a ticket. You are better off buying one of the top three detectors rather than saving money and possibly getting a ticket in the future.

Have a Beltech sitting in my console......I might put it back up one day. Three best names in Radar Detectors (not in order) : Valentine 1, Escort and beltech
