At that power level you probably don't need any more gear than stock. With what you should trap with that kind of power you would be shifting into 5th if you ever ran the 1/4 and it will be harder to make traction than stock gears too.

I wouldn't think that 3.73's would be to much gear. Plus if you have the rearend out anyways. Keep in mind whap mph you might end up trapping sooner or later with your car though and what rpm's you'd be going through the traps at. That's why I'm staying with 3.55's.

i got 3.73 right now. im glad they didnt stock the 3.90 s or i would have got them , i'am glad they didnt now 3.90s so too much. i liked the feel or to longer pull though the gears with the 3.55s the 3.73s you got to shift alot quicker when you spinning and got no traction. i think 3.27s would be a good street gear. it be better on those 70mph down shift into 4th gear stabs to pass, on the interstate of course!

I have 3.90's right now at just over 500 whp and traction is an issue. After the Whipple goes on it's going to be rediculous.

I personally prefer the stock 3.55's. It is a great all around gear. Also, with the torque that our cars make, more than 3.55's is just not necessary, especially when you start heavily modifying.

For that much power I'd probobly get 3.73's if I was replacing gears anyway.

Anything more is too much for your power level.

I had 4.10s and 3.73s in my '99 Cobra.
For me 4.10s would be to much on the '03 Cobra, 3.73's sounds good to me but traction will be a problem.
