Scary, absolutely scary. The guys timing is unbelievable.

Honorable mention:

Abe Cunningham-Deftones, I saw them before they were famous at a small club in Vancouver. I was totally amazed at the guy, he was a clock.

The classic, the one and only: Ron Bushy

From Iron Buttefly

Most classic drum solo ever..in-a-gada-da-vida

download it(the long version: over 17 minutes), you will not be disappointed. Bushy started the drum solo tradition. He used to pass out at concerts because he would do a drum solo for over 20 minutes. If there is a godfather of rock drum solos it would be Bushy..Only the best can recreate and ahe the stamina of Bushy's solo in in-a-gadda.

I'd have to throw in Ginger Baker (Cream) and Keith Moon (The Who).

EDIT: Add Terry Bozzio (Zappa and Jeff Beck Group)

I just saw Metallica two weeks ago, here in New Orleans. This makes the 7th time I have seen them live.
