I am looking at getting a new/used car in a few months. I can't seem to find anything else that meet my price range for what I want. Here is my criteria:

Sub 6 seconds on 0-60 and sub 14sec on 1/4 mile.
over 20mpg
has to have rear seat
and the kicker for my search is it needs to be Automatic.

The 02-04 BMW M3 is the only thing I have come across that meets my criteria. Do you have any other suggestions?

as for the M3 they are nice cars when in warranty, as soon as theyre out i swear BMW pushes a button and they begin to fall apart

cobra= maual
STI = manual
Evo = manual
lightning = no backseat

:shrug:

x2 on the M3.
Especially if you are looking at the SMG trans, which takes some getting used to and if it goes out you're looking at a FAT repair bill.

ok well the GTO seems to be the winner here

the SMG is nice but the failure is the pump and that is like 1K to replace. otherwise they are ok cars. Another ride to look at is SS trailblazer

My buddy just got a 2010 taurus sho. Around that price range with 30k highway miles. It is a great car.

I actually do need a back seat.
And for the cars mentioned above. I will have to look into the G8 GT (don't know much about them) and I have always like the GTO but the gas mileage scares me. I got an 80 mile round trip to work and back each day it will have to be my daily driver.

Those are some tuff requirements. My best suggestion would be the 05-09 GT despite you not liking the looks. I averaged about 20mpg in my 05.

Also, I would imagine the G35 would meet most of those specs. Perhaps a little over the 14sec mark though.

A 2005 Audi S4? They meet all the criteria except they have a 19 mpg combined average. 5star rating in reliability tho.
