This morning on ESPN, they were reporting that the Steelers are already looking for teams willing to offer a top 10 pick for him.

I think he'd be a perfect fit in Oakland:

1. He's already got the Raider rep and mentality.
2. He's got the vertical passing game arm that Al Davis covets so much.
3. They already know they aren't a playoff team this year, so missing 4-6 games won't be a deal breaker.

What a dumb-ass.

$100 million dollar contract, and he's out buying booze for 20 year olds and banging them in bathrooms.

At least buy some pornstars like Tiger and do it right!

Oh I'm sure Ben is real broken up over being suspended. It'll be rough for him having some extra time to sit in his mansion and count his money.

Its the second time this type of behavior happened. They backed themselves in the corner because of the their new "no tolerance" rule Rooney said a few days ago.

They didn't hand down the suspension until they had time to review the investigation report from the authorities. Just because the DA in Georgia didn't think he had enough to win a court case, doesn't mean that Goodell doesn't have enough information to hand down a suspension based on the league's ethical conduct policy.

I'm of the opinion that what you do on your personal time is your business. Just because some wasted girl says you took advanage of her doesn't make it so.

The league is overstepping their authority IMO. As far as the law is concerned, he did nothing wrong. He is a free man. Whatever happend to innocent until proven guilty???

Bad decision on his part, sure. But when you break it down, all he did was hook up with a drunk chick at a bar. An act that is performed countless times in this country every single day.

League is not overstepping their authority, every NFL contract has a clause, that requires them to adhere to the league's personal conduct policy. If he did not adhere to the league's conduct policy, then he is subject the punishments set within the collective bargaining agreement.

This is no longer a case that is subject to the court system, innocent until proven guilty no longer applies. It is now an issue between an employer and an employee and whether that employee violated the terms of his employment and is therefore subject to a disciplinary action.

People in Pittsburgh are demanding for him to be gone. They are so dumb. I think if he is still a Steeler after the draft tonight be wont go anywhere. I hope he stays because I want the Steelers to win. Life without Ben equals a 5-11 season, at best.

Also, what Jim Brown and Charles Barkley said was dead on.

This has nothing to do with the law. Is he going to jail? No.

He represents the NFL and the Steelers. Neither of them want him even IN the situation to begin with, but he seems to attract it. How do they handle it? By suspending him.

While Ben is a dumbass, I'm sure that the girl who cried rape was doing exactly what the gal that accused Kobe Bryant of doing.

I know what you and everyone who agrees with the suspension is saying. It's just wrong IMO. Is Ben a retard for putting himself in these situation, hell yea. He'll ultimately get what's coming to him.

He hooked up with a girl, that's it. He didn't get off on some murder charge because of some legal technicality. As far as anyone's concerned, eveything the accuser said could be a complete and total lie done for financial gain.

Should anyone have the power the simply make up a story and get someone suspended/fired?

This is a very fine line we are walking when an employer has that kind of control over what a person does legally on their own time.
