Im looking at this webisitehttp://www.stangshiftergaskets.com/BeltSelectionGuide.htm and it tells me either 4080745 or 4080750. Which one would you guys use? Then it says this Note: If you are using the new Billetflow Idler Bracket you will have to add 1/2" to the belt sizes shown below for your application due to its larger size, except where the configuration already notes a Billetflow bracket. So as of right now Im lost :loser: So here is what I have :coolman: 2.80 pulley, billet flow idlers 92mm and the 3 100 mm's waiting to go on and the stock lower. But I need to get the belt. Any help would be greatly appreicated :coolman:

I have that exact combo, well it is a 2.76 so pretty much the same thing. I use a 4080745 which is a 74.5" belt. I would suggest using the Gates Green Stripe instead of the Gatorback belt.

I have a 2.8 steeda upper and the same BF setup as you. I used the stock belt size 4080750. I bought a new stock size Gates belt from www.rockauto.com. I keep the stock belt inthe trunk as a spare. The stock belt fits perfect and i have no belt slip.

Will a K080751 work? That is what Billetflow recommends on their website for a 2.76 4 pulleys and snub idler kit

Stock belt (080751)/(Gates part number K080751) WILL work.

One size smaller (Gates part number K080745) MIGHT work.

IF you can use the K080745 it will be tight.... tighter is gooder.

I'll give it a try. I know all cars are different. Hopefully mine is like yours.

I played around with a 745 but went back to a 751

I realized that the problem was just that my original Motorcraft had stretched and rubber had gotten a little hard from heat exposure

nice, new Gates and I'm back in business!

This is what I am thinking. I had to order the gates. But I ordered both. So we will see :coolman:

So you notched the tensioner? Like what is on the Steigemeier website?
http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/dynobob/vpost?id=1691883

What I did was took a chisel and broke off the complete tab. Where you see the notched part on that one is exactly where the tensioner is loaded. Im not too worried about it considering I allready went to the track and ran it. With no issues at all. Once again thanks Doug for some great idlers and the belt info. :coolman:
