Can anyone tell me what a Gatorback 080805 measures
in length?
My 797 belt was 80 1/8" and my 810 was 81 5/8". So

Should be 80 1/2". What pulley set up are you running?
Gates belt numbers have the size listed in the last 3 numbers of the part number in my experience. Example is a stock belt K080751 which 75.1 inch.
Gatorbacks are numbered the same BTW.
Your 797 should have been a 79.75 inch belt

my belt tension shows that the belt is a bit loose,
I ordered a 080805 Gatorback
Anyone else running the same combo as me?

The first number represents that it's a Poly V belt, 2nd and 3rd is the number of ribs, 4th, 5ht and 6th is the length in inches and the last is the length in 1/10's of an inch. So 4080805 would be 4=poly v-belt, 08=8 rib set up, 080=80" and 5=5/10" or 1/2". Pretty easy really. If you check the link I provided, Bob gives you exact belt lengths for numerous set ups. You may be able to find your exact set up in there and make easy work of this.

I looked around and you are right. All I could reference was the 751. What's your source on the other measurements? I don't see a pattern on the differences in size
