I have a brand new set of 2in drop spindles for a lightning never used 200.00 local pickup only central fl

Is it true they won't work with 18s?

I put one inside one of the rims and it seem to have plenty of clearence.I am selling them because i race the truck alot an can't see giving up my 16s just for 2inches.
