The story for all of this started early last year after selling my '04 Cobra that was being used as a daily driver. I wanted something reliable to daily, while having my toy that I can wrench on and not stress taking to work the next day.
Miss this thing BADLY.
So I sold the car for more than what I paid, got a 2012 Honda Accord to daily, and took the $4k in equity to buy a toy.
It started with an '01 Z/28. Salvage title, 6-speed, huge cam. Biggest piece of crap ever. I had this for 4 months until I just couldn't justify putting any more parts on it.
I traded it for this '94 GT. Mild 306, 5-speed, super clean. I started realizing my itch for a classic would never go away so after 3 weeks, it was traded.
I traded the GT to a guy in return for a 1972 Mach 1. Also had a forged 306, AOD, big fuel system. I really enjoyed the car but it needed more work on the rust than I felt like investing.
Off it went. Traded the Mach for a 1952 Ford Customline. 351 cleveland, C4 trans, new EVERYTHING.
Loved this car and had it for a bit, but decided it was really time for something I could cruise/take to the track since spring is coming up.
So this weekend, I went to Birmingham and traded it for a 1969 Nova. 355 sbc, th350 trans, big cam, etc.
Friends and family have all given me hell for going through so many cars, but it has been a blast having cars I never dreamed of, and only having a very small investment into it. Ultimate goal is to end up in a 67 Fastback or a '57 Bel-Air.
In the meantime, I hope to enjoy this hobby as long as my wallet and time allows.
