becoming a state trooper LEO's

I am currently in the Marine Corps my eas is next July. I have already contacted the state trooper recruiter in NE (that’s what state I want to be in). She said that she put me on some list and will call me when job opening come up. What are some steps I can take to get recruited for when I get out? What will help me look better than the rest? I also am currently going to school for my criminal justice degree.

Search the forum as this topic has been covered at least a dozen times. Also, a CJ degree is not the most advantageous. I would suggest a degree in accounting, engineering, nursing, or foreign languages.

All police recruits in the academy receive the same training, regardless if they have a military background or not.
