I’ve mulled this over, and mulled this over, and mulled this over some more, and as much as it pains me to do so, I think I might be ready to move on from the RK’s on the sexual teal whale cannon. The more I evaluate and think about the future with the car, the more I realize that I’m going to drag race it more and the car will most likely find itself sitting on a drag pack 9.8/10 times.
These were refinished in 2015 by Detroit Wheel and Tire and are their “dark chrome” PVD. They are a little smuffed up from sitting unused for the past 5 years so in the right light there are some scratches on them. Most people probably would throw a coat of wax on them and run them as is, The PVD Process uses an automotive grade acrylic clear coat so they should clean up to 9.5/10 original shine with some compounding and elbow grease. Also once of the fronts had a run in with a leaky caliper so the clear flaked up on the back of the barrel but aside from the original flaking, they have not continued to flake in the least bit.
I have seen these being in big money recently in staggered configuration so I know they should go. All things considered, I'm looking to get $3,000 out of them. If you don't like the price, don't buy the wheels.
Front tires are good but old, rear tires are just there for looks
