bbk 65 mm TB

anyone use the BBK 65 mm tb? everyone talks about the accufab but not the bbk. the brothers pef catalog says that bolting on just the bbk tb the got 35hp to the rear wheels! any input would help..:burnout:

I have one now. Haven't had it on the car yet though. The inlet does need to be ported though. Like this.

I installed the BBK and yes you do need to portt match the intake pipe to the gasket. You will remove quite a bit of metal to get it matched. It took a few hours to do it with a Dremel using the fluted cutters (used up 5 of them) and a sand paper flapper type to polich it when done. From what I experiences and have read all of the larger TB's whether single oval or twin butterflies experience some type of idle issues. You have to play with the adjustment and TPS settinsg to resolve the off idle glitches and hang ups. I am not sure of the 35hp though. Maybe 10 or so is more like it.
