Battery Relocation Question

So I'm finally getting around to moving my battery to the bed of my truck (Fade's "How to" will be a big help). My question is......If I plan on racing it at a track (meaning I'll have to pass tech inspection), does the battery HAVE to be in a box (sealed/unsealed)? Or can I use a billet hold-down (BLING!)that basically has the most of the battery exposed? Of course I'll make sure that is securely mounted and WILL NOT move.... I mean, I don't need to worry about fumes/gases getting the cab or anything....

I think at the track it will have to be enclosed, and if the track is sanctioned by NHRA, I believe you have to have an external kill switch
