Battery or alternator HELP Please !

Hey guys I am new to owning a Cobra and I got a ? for u ! I do not drive my car often its a garage queen most of the time. For the past month when I have gone to turn the car on it will not turn over. Sounds like the battery has gone dead, its still the original battery from 03. I jump the car and it turns on fine but when I turn it off and try it again its dead. Before I by a new battery how can I make sure its the battery and not the alternator ? Thx in advance !

If its the battery from 03 chances are thats the problem. You can take your car to a checker or shucks and have them test your charging system with their tester. It will tell u if u need a battery or the alternator is bad. My buddies 03 cobra the battery light came on and it was his alternator.

If it's the original 03 battery, it's 6 years old. Way past it's service life. But like mentioned, places like AutoZone will hook up a tester and tell you for sure.
