Looking to add a battery disconnect switch to my car given we have re-loacted the battery to the trunk, and I am not sure which switch I need:

Advice would be appreciated as I do not want to cause any damage. Also, is there anything else that I should do other than add the cut off switch and appropriate cable? Car works perfectly now with the battery wired to the trunk.

Thanks.

Never done one but I'll tell ya right now the last one won't work. Look at the amp ratings. If you're running higher than a 175-180a alt. the other 2 won't work either, if not you are ok amp-wise with them.

I have the stock altenator - what does it run?

New to this area - I figure others must have installed a disconnect switch for the track on here.

With an OE alt. you're good with either of the 2 I mentioned in post #2. How fast are you going that you need an battery switch. Plenty of 9 and 10 sec. cars here without one.
