Battery Corrosion

I have heard of using coke method to remove but how do you prevent it? i know dumb question and i did search.

battery

ive had that problem untili i used different terminals,,,

i am using the ones with the lever and nut....no wrenches needed after install...

i had fords for the last 30yrs and everyone had a battery problem,this is the first time its ever stayed clean

I had absolutly no problems till I put in a new OEM battery after 4 years.. Been corroding ever since. Had the dealer check the charging system and they found no shorts anywhere. I read it might be a very slight gas leak around the terminal post. I will be changing the terminal wires next week to see if that helps

My old 98 GT had this problem. I always just used baking soda and water to clean off the corrosion crap.

Most battery manufactures batteries seap through the terminals. The only ones that I know that don't are Interstate and Ultima. Every Ford I have ever owned has done this except for the factory on my Cobra
