Bassani CB Install Question

Just a quick question for those of you who have gone thru this before. I installed my catback last night, all went well except for one thing, I could not get the middle hangers on either side to go into the holders for the tailpipes.

I tried putting the one closest to the muffler on first, tried putting the last one in first...either way the middle one would not line up:shrug:

Had to call it quits as it was quitting time at the self-help center. All in all a fairly easy installation (I am not the most mechanically inclined individual). Only thing now is that the exhaust hangs an inch or two lower until I can get the middle ones hooked up.
No problem though as I can drive my beater around in the meantime.

Any recommendations/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have found it easier sometimes to take the holder assembly off, place tailpipe hanger in it, then push back up into place and put bolt back in.

I used WD40 on the rubber (careful). THAT helped immensly!

The others are correct, it is much easier to hang the tailpipe hanger first, then work your way to the other hangers. 2nd the wd-40.
