Honorable mention must also go to the Noble, SLR, ZR1, Ford GT and Dodge Viper ACR. Any others? I could only pick 10 so they are the most exotic and highest performing I do reckon.

I would pick the Koenigsegg because I like having a man pedal, the top can come off and it is one of if not the fastest.

I voted for the SSC Ultimate Aero cause I just saw a show about it recently so it was on my mind.

The Ultimate Aero has increased engine displacement of 6.34 L (387 cu in) and increased boost of 96.5 kilopascals (14.00 psi), resulting in 855 kW (1,147 hp) at 6950 rpm and 1,113 N·m (821 ft·lbf) at 6200 rpm, running on 91 octane gasoline.[6]

The first run clocked 257.44 mph (414.31 km/h) and the return trip 254.91 mph (410.24 km/h). The results of this test, verified by Guinness World Records on October 9, 2007, gave the SSC Ultimate Aero the title of world's fastest production car, with a top speed of 256.18 mph (412.28 km/h).[19] This beat the previous record holder, the Bugatti Veyron, that has a top speed of 253.81 mph (408.47 km/h).

Not as famous as a lot of the others, but I think its pretty cool. Who doesn't love a TT v8 with 1000+whp

Reasons?
It can be sold for enough to buy three or four other cars on the list.
And probably over a hundred normal cars.
Like GT500, ZR-1, Diesel pick up to haul cars to the track. Motor home to sleep in at all the races you could afford to go to. or if you like motorcycles, one for every day of the month plus a bunch of great cars and still have the money to mod them.
