So I had my car at a local shop for a tune and boost a pump install. After I picked up the car I noticed my car would stay switched on. So i pulled back the carpet to inspect how he installed the boostapump, noticed the fpdm was unplugged, he informed me that it wasnt to be plugged in after you install the boost a pump. Does this sound right?

Yeah thats what I thought, I guess ill be taking it somewhere else. Just hate wasting money.
The most common was the 30amp Kenne Bell setup. Now I believe several other companies are making them and they all do pretty much the same job.
