I have my old set of "chrome" FR500's that I would like to clean up so I can sell them... well, smart ol' me didn't realize just how much the stock 00'R pads will dust... :/

I'm wondering if any of you experts in here know of a way to remove nasty black brake dust, aside from taking the rims to get stripped and re-chromed.

TIA

Meg's ALL Wheel Cleaner.

Spray on, start scrubbing with a cotton washcloth to get the big stuff off. Rinse immediately. Repeat for stubborn areas.

Swap to something like SimpleGreen and a toothbrush to get the corners...then if they're actually chrome; break out the chrome polish (I like Mother's).

Sadly, I live in an apartment and don't have access to a hose. I'll look around for this and give it a try at my buddies house.

Thanks all!
