Are you looking for a GREAT brake upgrade package but want to retain your stock sized wheels? This great package works with all 1994-2004 Mustangs with the 13" Cobra/ Mach 1/ Bullitt front brakes with 13" rotors. This easy to install kit from Baer will convert your existing 13", twin piston caliper front brake system into a Baer 6P brake system.

The 6P brake system delivers increased driver control and more immediate onset. Staggered bore sizes minimize pad taper. Designed for optimal performance, yet weighs just 6.5 pounds!

Includes:
-2x Baer 6P Calipers
-Baer Sport Touring brake pads
-Anti-rattle pad abutment shims
-Bnjo bolts and crush washers
-Mounting brackets
-All additional hardware needed for installation

*Will only fit Mustangs that already have 13" front brakes.
*May not work with Stock wheels.

Here's a picture I took of a Hawk HPS front Pad for the Stock Cobra PBR Caliper and the Baer 6P caliper. The pad for the Baer 6P caliper is significantly larger.

lol

I'm considering buying these along with the TPS rotors you sell. They combine to work together?

Any idea if it will clear under 18" 2010 style American Muscle GT500 replica wheels?

Yes this caliper upgrade kit will work with our rotors and they will clear your wheels with no problem

I assume these are the wheels?

That's the ones.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to brakes. What do you guys recommend for the rears?

My car will be making around 750-800 rear wheel soon, and will likely see some high speed braking(i.e. freeway pulls), but not anything close to the abuse of auto-x.

80% of the braking is done with the front brakes so the rear brakes really are not too important. For the IRS Cobras there really is not alot of options. If your car is mostly a street car I think the front caliper upgrade will work real well for you... BUT there is NEVER enough braking IMO. You can always add the FTBR (Full Tilt Boogie) makes a great 13" rear setup which we sell also. With this caliper upgrade and the the FTBR rear rotors you'll have alot more braking power. The rear FTBR will increase your braking leverage.

Here are pictures of them behind my customer's 2003 Cobra 17" wheels who open track's every month at Laguna Seca... I just asked him to send over the pics of the Baer brakes behind his 17" wheel.

BTW, here are his comments to me when he sent me the pictures today

"Hi Mike,

Please find attached two pictures of my Baer Brakes. The kit fits well the 17 inch wheel standard wheel as well as my CCW racing tires. The only "challenge" is, the brakes will not fit the spare tire :)

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best regards,"

So who wants a new set of rotors? or a brake upgrade?

0% Financing for up to 1 year Available on brake upgrades!

I am in need of front and rear rotors. I have a 2003 Cobra, it's my daily driver and doesn't see much track time at all. It's mostly just a street car. I do the occasional highway-pulls and like driving through the North GA mountains at times too. It also has the stock 17in rims on it as well for the moment. I don't think I am ready (or need) new caliper upgrades, but would like new rotors all the way around. I want something that looks stylish yet doesn't break the bank either. Any suggestions or deals you have for me? Sorry for ranting. I'm a newb with brakes on these cars and everywhere I seem to look online, it's sooo damn pricey! Thanks for any help!

We sell a set of 4 rotors for $249.99 delivered to your door and I would recommend hawk HPS pads which are $175 for front and rear
