Bad shift - Tranny noise

I was burning out on a wet section of road that dried up and when the 1 - 2 shift occured, the tires just had come in contact with the dry pavement. It hooked up and had a really shite WOT shift. Basically it shifted into 2nd and stopped burning out. I backed off. Tranny still runs fine but now when im off throttle and slowing it has a sort of wine to it. Did I bastardise it? Is it on its way out?

Id say you f*cked something up. That something is yet to be determined. If it is whining right after you had the incident, then yea it did something to it. Good luck, that sucks man.

hmm, it turns out it was a blown front wheel bearing. Or so they say. I dont trust stupid dealerships. Meh, ill drive it hard and see if it breaks again before warrenty is up.
