Bad ignition switch?

Okay guys, so sometimes when I shut off my 04 Cobra . The check engine light will come on , the obo will go to --------- and sometimes the theft light flashes . Even after I take the Key out , it all stays on.. I've been disconnecting the battery . But wondering if anyone else has ran into this ; could it be a bad ignition switch? The cylinder does NOT turn without the key in it . However even if the theft light is flashing I can put the key in & start the car . However I guess my PATS could be turned off through the tune . So that's a possibility as to why it still starts. But if anyone has any clues let me know !

Does the radio or heater still come on ,or maybe even the turn signals ? .
This would tell me there is a problem with the switch, not the tumbler .

The radio isn't currently hooked up at the moment , but yes the heat comes on and all my climate controls work as they should , nothing off there

I meant after you turn the key off and remove it,do those things still turn on ?
