I'm looking for something new. I can chef when provoked but prefer to do 5 minute meals. I've grown weary of sandwiches and pasta though and I need a change.

The weather will be breaking soon enough so I'll be grilling again. For now I need some stove/oven cooked stuff.

Thanks!

Take some large, boneless chicken breasts....crushed cornflakes....some deli ham....toothpicks....swiss cheese...buttermilk.

Alright, lay the chicken out flat, place slice of cheese on to each breast, followed by ham...roll it up, put a toothpick in it.

Put some buttermilk in a bowl, dunk rolled meat into bowl, shake crushed Corn Flakes over it, may have to help them stick.

Place on flat pan covered with aluminum foil, bake at 350-400 for about 20-30 mins or until they start looking dried out.

I just did this off the top of my head, but they are very filling and cheap to do.

Green beans and dirty/wild rice goes very well with them.

bonbolli pre-baked pizza crust, pesto/olive oil base, tons of cheese,, sausage, sauteid (sp?) onions, etc. these crusts are availible at any store, and they are me and my GF's secret. cook the sausage and onions in a pan with some seasoning, then put the olive oil/pesto on the crust, then cheese, etc. cook until the cheese melts. since the crust is already cooked, it ends up crispy and awesome, take like 10 minutes.

trust me, this is an awesome pizza, me and my GF make them all the time!

Garlic and butter/oil shrimp is fast and easy and tasty. Put a little butter or oil in a pan, heat, add crushed garlic and fresh deveined shrimp, cook a minute or two on each side, just until the pink is gone. If it's rubbery you cooked it too long. You say you're tired of pasta but if you add the shrimp to an alfredo pasta, it's awesome.

Chef's salads are good and more filling than a regular salad. Mix veggies you like with small slices of meats you like. Add your favorite dressing.

Beans and franks. You guys still eat this? We had it all the time when I was a kid. Sliced deli hotdogs and Busch's beans work best for me.

One of my staples from College (thanks Mom!):

1.5 cup of rice (uncooked)
1 can mushroom soup
1.5 can of water
1 pkg of dry onion soup mix
2 to 3 lbs of cut up chicken

Mix rice, soups and water in large carrerole dish or smaller roasting pan.
Place cut up chicken on top, skin down. Salt chicken.
Bake at 325 for 3 hours. Turn chicken after 1.5 hours.

Easy to make and tastes killer!

Sort of like my way, only just buy one of those precooked rotisserie chickens at the grocery store and tear it into pieces while you are cooking the rice.

Make the rice in a covered pot by the recipe on the box, and just substitute the soup (cream of chicken, celery, or mushroom) for the butter with a little less water than they say to use. Cook the rice/soup in a covered pot until the water is absorbed, and mix the chicken in afterwards. Only takes 20-25 minutes.
