Lol, it takes like 5 seconds, but you have to refill the coolant system some. Good luck...
No more than 1 hour labor

Yeah bud, def. do it yourself. Dont pay someone else to do it. Nothing better than working on your own car...just my .02 though

Well, I would say an hour of labor is reasonable bc refilling these cars can be a PITA although I never had issues with the how-to on this site. Take it somewhere that is familiar with these cars and it might not even be FORD

the 03 cobra was the easiest t-stat ive ever done...

tools needed

1/4 ratchet to take out fill plug...
8mm wrench to remove 2 bolts on t-stat housing...

my question would be why are you changing t-stat?

car sat all winter just started it and let it run every few days took it out about 3 weeks ago and it was fine then it sat till today took it out and noticed steam comin from under my hood look at my temp gauge and it was right below red i was parked for about 15 min when this happened , so i waited till it cooled down added some af and started it back up and same thing so i waited again and took it to a shop near me about 2 miles away .Im thinkin the thermostat is stuck just couse the car sat so long.
