Im running Autolite 103s. Gapped @ .035. They work great. I ran them @ .025 with 21#s of boost with my procharger on this car with no problems at all

Tried the APP103's (Double Plainums) at several different gaps. In the end went back to the stock Motorcraft plugs.

It might've been the hot summer weather in Alabama. Very muggy hot, but during testing I got detonation with plug gapped at .054 like the Autolite webiste suggested. Then I went down in stages looking for the best gap. First to .048, then to .045, 040, .035.030 That was engough to convince me to go back the stock Motorcraft platinum plug.

Not risking this babys health if you know what I mean.

The problem is you used a Double platinum plug. Platinum is BAD on a power adder car. Plus .054 is a Naturally Aspirated gap. Plus the hot weather, i see why you got detonation. You got the wrong plugs. You need the regular 103s

I'm running the AR103s with 19 degrees of timing, 93 octane, .034-.035" gap, 11.5 AF, 2.76" pulley & a.040 nitrious jet. No problems ever.

Just installed a BAP & will now be using a larger nitrous jet.
