Definitely, i was in the market for a newer 5.0 but after watching all of these videos of the 2018s i will have to give them a look first.jealous of the 10 speed tranny. bet people go a lot faster a lot easier with that. and be able to rip a good 60 foot and still pull good out the back.
Its getting really hard to make a valid argument for a stick shift these days. these new trannys have taken it to a whole new level!
Its not full bolt ons and its trapped 120 iircI thought FBO/E85 5.0s trapped mid 120s?
Good runs!
Christ that 2018 runs hard with a tune and tire! Totally my opinion, but I wish they didn't look so horrible. Black is about the only color I've seen that I could manage owning an '18 with. Hell, I still very much dislike the looks of the '15-17 S550, and I own one!

So this video is a lie then? Its not full bolt ons and its trapped 120 iirc
I missed that the 2018 was modded, I see that not that you mentioned it.
HUH?

FBO stands for Full Bolt On right? Then in the video it also says its running E85.
Those were gooood runs but if 15-17 is not FBO why describe it that way? To make the 2018 seem more impressive than it already is?
FBO S550 + E85 runs 10s? How much weight reduction did it take to get that?FBO would mean, in S550 terms; CJ/GT350 IM, accompanying TB and CAI, full exhaust and a tune. E85 is just icing on the cake at that point. Both 5.0s were on a tire though, and even with the advances of direct injection and the new 10 speed, that '15-17 should have been faster than the '18. A tune and tire '18 is good for 11.9 so far, in hero conditions, whereas that '15-17 combo has been 10s, with speed to match, in lighter cars. But definitely faster than 11.9.
That 2V is the real hero here though. Regardless of the (assumed) built motor and turbo. Lol
The 93 tuned 18 has been 11.5@122.FBO would mean, in S550 terms; CJ/GT350 IM, accompanying TB and CAI, full exhaust and a tune. E85 is just icing on the cake at that point. Hotlapped it ran an 11.6@121
Uh, didn't Lund run a 11.31 on E85 and a tire? Also, isn't there an active thread right now of a bone stock A10 car running a 11.8?

The 11.5 pass was literally just tune and tire.To be completely honest, I don't know how much weight reduction it took and I haven't seen anything about '18 times since Lund initially posted their tune and tire only times. But it's crazy just how fast these things are with minimal work. Makes the '11-17 cars seem ancient. Lol
