I put new rear axles in my 04 Yamaha grizzly 660 this morning. It turned out to be pretty easy. I have had it since new and have really enjoyed it.

I have an older foreman 300 that I picked up for $250 after a great uncle passed. Shes still solid like most early 2000s quads, but this gives me hope for when the day does come to start wrenching

300 was a fourtrax.
Made 1988-2000.
Toughest bike ever.
My 98 is in the back.

13blackgt, why the new axles? Bearing bad?

I did cv boots on my rhino as they were leaking, but didn't change the assembly.

On another note, looking at can am quads, in the market for a 2 up. The 1kcc looks interesting!

I did just the boots on an arctic cat 4x4 and it was such a pita for me that I did axles on the grizzly. My grandson has a can am atv and it’s amazing

Can Am are a great quad. Very high maintenance.
I have 22000kms on my 2012 1000.

2003 Yamaha Raptor 660. Bought it brand new while I was still in high school. The only thing stock on it at this point is the rear brake caliper, radiator assembly, plastics and seat.

Bought a 1980 something Suzuki LT80 that hasn't ran in years thinking our girl would be interested in working on it with me. Wrong. All she wants to do is record herself dancing to the same song over and over and over and over.

some of those big HP units can be hard as hell on belts. I'll give my slow, shaft driven Honda credit in that department - never had to worry about getting stuck because a belt got wet (or smoked)

ATV thread?

I've got a 2006 Honda Rancher AT 400 that I use for around the property work. I was given a dealer accessory plow from my uncle this winter (he had two identical models that got stolen a few years ago), only got to use it once but it worked out well considering I had to find the ATV mount and come up with hardware to lock it all together. Got to use it once, now I'll be pulling it off soon for spring.
