I have a completely stock 04 Cobra motor and im planning on doing a 2.3 TVS with all supporting mods making 15-17psi and im wanting to make near or just above 600rwhp on 91 pump gas. Will i need head studs or will i be ok at this power level without them or will eventually lift the heads off on a good day? I know head studs are always better than the stock torque to yield bolts but will i be at risk or danger eventually without them? You guys with experience, please chime in. Thanks!

You will be fine with stock bolts at your intended boost and HP level. I would become a little concerned north of 700 RWHP, but there are many that go well beyond that with no issues.

I agree with Steve.
You will be fine at your target horse power.
I am at 730+ with the TVS on stock head bolts.
If I ever had to go into the motor I would install studs but I wouldn't just do it arbitrarily.

740rwhp here 100% stock motor. Before that I was at 600rwhp for 4 years with the same motor. This motor just keeps on ticking. I think I am going to build it this winter weather it is hurt or not.
