Asking price vs offer price?

The asking price means nothing to me. I offer what it's worth. As much as it's an insult to low ball sellers it's also insulting to ask unrealistic prices.

I think $55k is a good starting point as well. It shows you’re serious and it’s not an insulting lowball.

If you’re comfortable paying that make him a take it or leave it offer. $58k is more than fair.

Debatable. Hardly any verts for sale. I wouldn’t own one of these in a hardtop.

Get a carvana quote, compare that to his asking price, and offer him the number in the middle.

I think 53k is good for the buyer and 55k is fair for both.

The car is a dib 13 vert fully optioned. Possibly one owner but bone stock 16k miles. Guy is asking $60k. Will have a local guy inspect it.

If I'm haggling (and have a good idea of what it's worth) I generally start at 90% of their asking price.
