I looked it up, Oakland is bringing up the rear in average fan counts for the season at 11,000.

LA and SD are 1 (almost 50K) and 2, SF is 10th.

I guess even if you have to step over a junkie who just shit on the sidewalk, people would still rather watch the Giants play than the A's.

LA sweeps up all the homeless around the stadium just before the season starts. They still have a skosh of self-preservation left.

Now there's talk about putting the stadium elsewhere than currently "planned".
Maybe where the Rio is, or where the Tropicana is--both of which had been discussed before.

If fans in Oakland truly don’t want the Athletics to move to Las Vegas, then they are going to need to start showing up to the ball field. A recent Oakland Athletics-Arizona Diamondbacks game at the Oakland Coliseum drew in just 2,064 fans. According to baseball writer Dan Clark, that number is lower than a whopping 97 minor league teams’ 2022 season average attendance, including some rookie level ball clubs.
