I bought my car used recently.

While trying to install a catback I noticed to dark colored squad metal tubes that are roughly 2x2" that ran the length of the car (front pedals to rear seats) on both sides of the car, they're roughly 1.5' in from the sides.

I don't got pics but did convertible 2003's come with these tubes installed? Or are they some brand of Full length Subframe connectors?

Those are the factory sub frame connectors. They are black, square, bolted on and WEAK. On the verts, you will also notice a cross brace on the front sub frame. Leave that, but replace the factory sub frame connectors with stronger units, it will be well worth it ($200-300 installed and welded).
