Are there any "Ringer's" on these boards??

By that I mean has anyone on here actually drove the Nurburgring? I was interested in going over there sometime and would just like to hear other peoples perspectives on it, like did they enjoy it or is it overhyped, was it too expensive of a trip for the payoff in return and so forth. I would like to let Sabine take me around in a taxi but would also like to rent a car and hustle it around there myself. Share your thoughts and experiences if you don't mind.

I drove past it in my father in law's Peugeot... Does that count?

I think it would be a blast. But not worth the trip if that was the only reason for going to Germany. Not likely to be able to get a car worth while. So my vote would be... If you find yourself in Germany, by all means yes.

I drive it on GT4 all the time in numerous cars, there was an write up on it in Road and Track a few months ago and I've watched several youtube vid's of Sabine Schmitz in the Ring Taxi, seems like it would be alot of fun and a great memory to look back on but yea I would go for more than the Ring if I went.;-)
