I was just wondering...when purchasing new wheels do you need new lugs nuts also? I think i heard something about it is best to get new ones when getting new wheels? If so, are there any lug nuts that any would prefer that wont chip(i bought some that did). Anyone sell a full set of locking nuts that are good quality and hard to get off without the lock?

You're better off getting steel nuts than brass balls.

All humor aside, always replace your nuts with fresh ones. They tend to get cupped from torque.

I havent seen an aftermarket lock thats really hard to get into. Only one ive ever had a hard time with is one chrysler had, it was the lock and it hard a metal sleeve that would spin around the lock very hard to break off.....I worked at discount tire not a theif btw. Anyway yea best to get new lug nuts when you get new wheels.

Also, go with Gorilla brand. Their nuts are impossible to remove when combined with the locking nuts.

No scratching either.

Which brand wheels are you replacing the stock ones with?

This will determine if the nuts are "bulge acorn" or "short shank". Most of the aftermarket wheels require a bulge.
