Anyone know if the rear brakes for 96 to 04 Cobra's are the same? The reason I ask is because I'm getting ready to swap an IRS out of a 04 Cobra into my 96 GT and it didn't come with the rear brakes. But I found some off a 98 Cobra pretty cheap but I want to make sure they will bolt on.

your calipers are the same as well, just the brackets/rotors/pads are cobra specific.

Not quite.

They are slimmer on the inside.

If you want to run Cobra vented rear rotors, you have to grind the GT/V6 calipers on the inside in order to make enough room for the wider vented cobra rotors.

I did this mod to my calipers last year.

I did as well, and the caliper bracket is the difference, the caliper floating part is the same, I used GT calipers for my cobra brakes in the rear of my 89 and I only had to modify the bracket with my grinder.
