What is it exactly??? I know it is supposed to help cool the head on drivers side but how??? I remember someone posting before you could buy the parts for $25 from HD and that $125 was overpriced?(search function#@%*^) Can you make this yourself??? anyone tried??

Thanks

I was curious too. I emailed apten about the mod, but no response. I know it's supposed to cool cyl #7, but I have no idea how it's hooked up.

It hooks into the rear drivers side head and allow water to flow out via the heater core.
You must remove the transmission to install.

Remove rear freeze plug.
Insert new pipe and tap into heater core where pass side hooks up.

The fun part is bending the EGR tube that runs down by the rear
freeze plug and around the new pipe that you install.
Then get it hooked back up to the original location.

I have the mod myself and its going on the new stroker. Im still debating just how much use it will be. The only reason there is a coolant line coming off pass head is to go through heater core and from there it goes right back to water pump and into block. With that in mind the cooling mod does the same thing to drivers side head.
