Anyone try Synchromesh in a T56?

i put Poyal Purple Synchromax in about 300miles ago. I too had hard shifting issues. It still is a little hard while it's cold but after it's warmed up it's smooth as butter. I have a MM Firewall Adj. and cable to install. so that should hope fully take care of it all

Shifting issues with these cars are usually caused by one or a combination of two things: Clutch needs adjustment: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/how-230/389553-how-adjust-clutch-cable.html and/or your tranny will shift better with the Synchromesh fluid.

Whats the official word on how many quarts a T-56 takes?

thanks for all the help guys... I'll try some synchromesh.... If nothing else, at least the fluid is new.

If I need to buy a firewall adjuster and a new quadrant I will.

The fluid isnt going to help your specific problem. If shifting is as bad as you say its definetly your firewall adjuster/quadrant. I had the same issues and went the same route. It was the adjuster that solved my problem.

I put 4 quarts exactly before it flowed out the overflow.
