Anyone Still Using SYNC For Much on 2012 GT500?

Hello, everyone. Been lurking on the site for a while now, and I'm pretty sure this is my first post.

I have a race red 2012 GT500 with the touchscreen navigation system, and my question is for other owners of this generation GT500 with the Sync 1 system. As it's the first version of Sync, many features have either been discontinued (e.g., Sync Services, Vehicle Health Updates), or become obsolete (e.g., AppLink, the navigation system which NavTeq stopped updating in 2019). To me, it's now just a glorified stereo that I can connect my phone to. Is anyone doing anything else with it, or has smartphone tech rendered it a quaint, if expensive, relic?

Modding My SS Shaker Navigation Home Screen

My best christmas gift this year. After working 12hrs/7 days a week for months, it was really nice and relaxing to just go out to the garage and sit in my shelby and listen to the rumble of that 850HP 5.8 liter supercharged beast.

I have a 2012 GT500 and love it. Regarding the Sync system, I downloaded photos so that every time I start it, I have a new image. Also, I downloaded hundreds of songs on its hard drive. I play all those songs under the Juke Box setting. Cool stuff.

Well … not as cool as its Griggs suspension and 315s on all four corners
