anyone running a c4 trans?

Not interested in hearing anything about how the 6r80 is better just looking to hear from anyone that is running a c4

personally with the heavy car, I'd lean towards a th400, that's what were running

Seems like people either use the 6R80, Glide, TH400 and some have ran a 4L80E with go results.

Think the CJ cars had a c4 option and durability was an issue. Don't know why, maybe as said weight of car.

Bingo. Given the weight of the car, C4 wouldn't be the best choice. It would work, but you'd be fighting slipping issues early and constant rebuilds. Good thing is they are not hard to build at all.

2,800lb fox, 393W and 10.0 passes, we got about 275-300 runs out of the trans with 0 street miles. Probably half of those passes were with a 351w at 10.7's.
