Although I like the way an 18' fills in the wheel well, The cost and availability of the 17's (including the price of tires for 17's in relation to 18's) just keeps swaying me to stick with a 17.

17's look great on fox's. I got a deal on my 18's, that's one of the reasons I went with the 18's.

285-35-18 nitto 555 rear tires
94-95 GT front spindles
94-98 GT rear end complete with disc brakes
Moser axles Fox length specific

I had to roll my rear fenders. My buddy did not. I bought the wheels off of him. He has a notch with upper and lower control arms though so maybe I had more movement in my stock ones.

18 x 10 on an irs Fox Is gonna be tricky. You will dit the rear sub frame bracket. Going 18 x 9 will be more managable. On a show car 18 x 10 is okay, but a daily driver you're going to hear grinding on the inner wheel lip on that bracket when ever the rear gets a little lift. You will have to put a load on the lower control arm to be able to bolt the wheel on.

Now with a SRA you can go 18 x 10 and keep the tire width at 285.

great looking coupe Ryan2kRedL, thank you for sharing your pics.

What are the possibilities of lowering it even further with that tire/rim combo?

It's possible. I could adjust it lower front and rear, but kept it at that height so it would align within spec and not chew up my front tires!
That ride height you see was perfect for street driving. it would not bottom out and rode comfortably.

In the rear, I'm running 18's with 295's. My fender lips are rolled and I had to go at the inner fenders with a BFH. I'm running coilovers as well but it's sitting right at 2" lower than factory. When I first put the wheels/tires on, I had 17's with 245/40's on the front (in picture), now I've got 18x8's with 245/35's on them. The car sits level with them on it but it will rub at full lock.
