Im interested in removing the (AC), I don't need it. In fact, I don't want it! Has anyone done this to theirs?

Never heard of it on our Cobras, only older FOX bodies. Unless you're going all-out race, I'd suggest keeping it, especially for resale. It doesn't effect WOT performance, seems like a pain to do (belt routing, etc.), and won't save that much weight. Plus, you'll miss it with leather and any day over 85*. Later, J

Taking out the AC compressor only saves you about 36 pounds. Taking out the blower/heatercore will net you another 18 pounds. It's weight off the front of the car yes, but like Bimini said unless you are making a racecar it's not really worth it. Bob Cosby still has AC on his stocker that runs mid-11s, so you can go fast with it in. There are lots of other places to trim some fat off. BTW, it takes roughly 100 pounds to drop a tenth in the quarter.
