Anyone know stock Novi 2k pulley size?

Running a Novi 2k on a stock 96 Cobra, with a 3.5" blower pulley. Had a miss at 6300 and got that fixed and pulled to redline today. Paxton a to a. Thought I saw 13-14 psi on gauge. Can that be possible?

Is the 3.5" stock for the "kit"? If not, what is?

maybe my boost gauge is whack? Shows 0 when shut off... Does that seem possible I am getting that much boost at 6800 with intercooler?

Edit...typo on pulley size.

That seems completely possible to me. The standard Vortech S-Trim with a 3.6 pulley gets 8-10psi non-intercooled depending on weather and if you have a power pipe. The NOVI 2K flows a lot more than the 1000cfm standard vortech entry blowers. You're spinning that NOVI2K much faster than the standard vortech kit and it flows a lot more, so those numbers wouldn't surprise me. I don't have a NOVI2k though, (wish I did), so I wouldn't know what size pulley is stock for those blowers or what to expect with smaller pulleys as far as increased flow in psi on Cobra motors. But I would imagine 3.6'' pulley size or a little above being stock for that blower, since they move a lot more air.

On the boost gauge, I have I re-ran all my vacuum lines during the build and have it teed off the small line going to the EGR vacuum switch. The route from the main manifold is...manifold, stock junction to FPR, junction to EGR switch (which the gauge later tees off) then climate control.

I guess the main question is that pulley too small? I would have thought it to be ok with the intercooler. But if the gauge is right, it seems like too much boost for a stock motor.

Are you sure you're not talking about the EVAP solenoid?

This is the line I tapped into for boost/BPV setup.

This is a similar setup to yours. But using a CXRacing intercooler which are known to be restrictive, so take it for what it's worth. Either way it seems as if you're spinning the blower too fast for the stock motor.

Edit: After a little bit of research, it seems 3.5'' is the stock pulley size for the Novi2k. Also there was an inline venturi air restrictor in place which would net 8psi towards redline.

Thanks for the info! Interesting about that Venturi restrictor. I ordered a 3.75" pulley today. Used blower RPM calculation (crank pulley size/Blower pulley size X step up ratio)X Max RPM. I will get about the same blower RPM with a 3.5 at 6300 or a 3.75 at 6800.

Just to confirm, my N2K came with a 3.5" pulley from the factory. On my intercooled GT, I see 12psi at 6300rpms.

Novi 2000s flow 1400cfm, so we move a lot more air than the little blowers. Especially with high RPM.

Roger...thanks for that. 11 psi is what I see with the Paxton a-to-a at 6300 also. 14ish at 6800. The 3.75" pulley will get me back to the same psi at 6800 as it was at 6300 with the 3.5".
