my tuner told me that on the dyno....my car could be losing traction and power to the rollers do to running the drag radials...nitto 555r's....this is caused do to the soft compound creating wheel hop?? iv never heard this before, but has anyone else ever heard of this - like swapping out your front wheels for the dyno run?

it is very true and can create a large loss, but not because of wheelhop :rollseyes

racing tire sidewalls are very thin and the soft rubber compound, by nature, is very 'squirmy'

when you strap it down to the dyno, you distort the tire so much that it has increased rolling resistance

swapping fronts and rears can be a good way to deal with it

What kind of Dyno?

Notch the tensioner get a tighter belt and do a clutch test.

From the Ford Service website:
*Key in START position.
*Block the wheels and apply the parking brake.
*Place the transmission in fourth gear.
*Increase the engine speed to 2000 rpm and slowly release the clutch pedal.

Does the engine stall within five seconds?Yes-The clutch is not slipping.
No -Inspect the clutch components for damage.

If you have any questions or need anything else, give us a call and we will be happy to go over any of those with you.

I have been saying this for a while now, but some large tuning shops disagree with me. I still say the best tire for the dyno is a F1 or something similar.
