im thinking about getting a set of jba long tubes like....1979-1993 Mustang 5.0L GT / LX JBA 1-3/4" Competition Long Tube Headers (Stainless Steel)
anyone running these or have you had them?

I don't have long tubes , but i do have JBA shorties on my 80 Capri , never blown a gasket with the thick flanges they have , only way they could be better is if they were long tubes ! Oh and they have been on the engine sence 1994 , started as a daily driver for a couple years then as a track car another three , then a play toy ever sence .
