I believe the Navigator cams are the same used in the 03 Cobra - may be good for boost, but the compression on the 01 is sligthly higher. There is a website that has the 03 Cams available. I would source SHM or Mod Max for a set of customs.
Just curious where you heard this recommended. I have been asking for a couple weeks now trying to find the specs on the various cams. The 03 Cobra does use the navigator cams. Per SVT, this moves the power band down about 400 rpm from using the 2001 Cobra cams. I think I read somewhere that the 98 cobra exhaust cams have slightly higher lift than the 99 cams. Again, it would be nice to find the specs.
I don't have any idea how the combo you ask about would perform.
There is a lot of information out there, and a lot of misinformation. It is difficult to get the real story. For instance, in another post, someone has stated that the 98 cams won't work on 99+ heads. Does anybody know for sure?
