My '03 vert was rear end shunted by a careless Suburban driver who reversed into it while parked in a shopping center lot.
The insurance assessor has pointed out my vehicle appears to have been repaired before because there's a couple of thin metal shims under the base of the right trunk lid hinge. I bought the car new and it's never been repaired before so the factory must have fitted them (consistent with the fact the original paint is sprayed over and around the shims and hinge base).
Can other owners confirm if they also have shims under their trunk lid hinges?
